James M. Gorski

Jim is a member of Hughes Gorski Seedorf Odsen & Tervooren, LLC. He joined the firm upon graduation from law school in 1977. His practice focuses on commercial and corporate transactions, litigation and contract dispute resolution.

In recent years, the transactional practice has extensively involved the representation of both buyers and sellers of businesses throughout the State of Alaska, as well as issues surrounding liquidation of partnership and corporate entities, which has included mediation and trial of complex partnership dissolutions. Since 1996, Jim has also provided representation to several municipal entities (boroughs and cities) where his practice covers a wide range of issues involving public entities.

Jim has an “AV” rating by Martindale Hubbell, the highest rating given to attorneys. Jim has also been included in the 2011 and 2012 editions of The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Corporate Law and Litigation - Real Estate.
