Paul S. Wilcox Paul S Wilcox is a highly experienced member of the firm and successfully litigates and settles a wide variety of civil matters, including major injury and wrongful death claims, employment defense, complex tort, contract, professional and premises liability, and general litigation. He has represented businesses, municipalities and individuals as lead counsel in many trials, administrative hearings and arbitration. He has served as an administrative hearing officer and as a mediator. Practicing in Alaska since 1976, Paul’s cases have taken him all over the state: to Ketchikan, Klawock, Sitka, Juneau, Cordova, Valdez, Whittier, Seward, Homer, Seldovia, Soldotna, Kenai, Bethel, Nome, Kotzebue, Barrow, Prudhoe Bay, Fairbanks, Wasilla, and Palmer, as well as Anchorage. In 1977, he became the first in-house counsel for the IBEW in Alaska, serving for 3 years before returning to private practice. His employment practice covers all aspects of employment law, including wrongful discharge, breach of contract and the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, discrimination, wage and hour, and retaliation. Paul was one of the earliest practitioners of employment law in Alaska and he has advised a wide variety of employers in both the public and private sectors. His appellate practice includes significant cases before both the Alaska Supreme Court and the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
